“Pupils are well behaved. They are polite, well mannered and welcoming to visitors.”
Ofsted – 2017
The main Mill End Road school building was constructed in 1936 and was called Mill End Secondary School. Originally the north side of the building was for girls and the south side was for boys.
In 1973, the school became Sands County Middle School for pupils between 8 and 12 years old.
However, in September 1998, a change in the age of secondary school transfer meant that the school became a Junior School, with pupils aged 7-11.
During September 1999, the amalgamation of Sands Junior, Sands First School and Green Street First saw the formation of a brand new school, Millbrook Combined School, on the site of Sands Junior.
Who We Are
Millbrook Combined School and Nursery is located to the west of High Wycombe, in the Sands Area.
The school has outstanding facilities and our talented staff (as well as offering a wide range of lunch and after-school clubs) provide pupils with a wide range of supportive, stimulating and challenging learning opportunities. We also offer before and after school care and a holiday club. Millbrook Combined School enjoys a richly diverse community and we celebrate this at every opportunity.
Millbrook Combined is a happy school. We all work together to ensure the children here are safe and well looked after. We provide a high-quality education for all so that each pupil can reach his or her potential.
Millbrook has approximately 600 pupils on roll, with the youngest being 2 years old (Nursery Plus 2 class), and the oldest are eleven years old (Year 6). The pupils are organised into year groups where we have 2 classes per year group with a maximum intake of 90 pupils for each cohort from Reception to Year 3.
